Yoji at All Star games

These photos were taken during Memorial Day Tournament for all star teams. Yoji had so much fun and he was happy to get his first medal.

先月末に行われた、オールスターのトーナメントの写真です。ようじにとって、初めてのオールスターの試合で、大きな子用の球場でプレーできて、とても嬉しそうでした。それに、初めてのメダルももらって、大喜びでした。

Yuta got awards!

Today, Yuta got awards at his school. Every kid will be recognized and get award at least once in a school year. Yuta got "Outstanding Citizenship" medal on 1st and 2nd trimester. Today, he got not only "Outstanding Citizenship" but also "Outstanding Work Habits" which only couple kids from each class earned. He also got 2 ribbons for his athletic skills. Only the top 5 boys and girls out of 122 students got the ribbons. Yuta got 4th place on sprint and 5th place on the long jump. Michael and I are simply amazed and very proud of him.

今日は、祐太の学校で成績優秀者の表彰式がありました。1年の間に、必ず1つは何か表彰される事になっているのですが、祐太は既に1学期も2学期も賞をもらっていたので、今回ももらえると聞いて、喜んで出かけました。すると、なんと祐太は、”立派な生徒で賞”だけでなく、クラスで数人しかもらえない”勉強を良く頑張ってるで賞”ももらいました。そして、体力テストの結果の上位男女5人ずつがもらえるリボンももらう事が出来ました。短距離で4位、幅跳びで5位です。1年生122人の中の上位5人に選ばれて、祐太はとても嬉しそうでした。私は、勉強でもスポーツでも表彰された事は無いので、本当に感心してしまいます。
